Office 365 Software and Installing 

Saybrook is using Office 365 as our email platform. It also provides cloud storage and web-based document handling. We are also providing free licensing for Office 365 to download while you are a student of Saybrook. 

You can access your Outlook email through the Saybrook Community Site or directly here: https://outlook.office365.com 

It also includes online versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which can be accessed here:https://portal.office.com/​.  

To access email through Outlook or your mobile device: 

 

Use your Saybrook username and password to access your email. 

You are required to use your Saybrook email account for all Saybrook-related communications.  

How to configure your mobile device 

Set up an Office 365 on an iPhone, or iPad 

  1. Open your Settings. 

  1. Go To Accounts & Passwords. Click Add Account 

  1. Select Exchange 

  1. Enter your full email address, for example [email protected], and your password, and then tap Next. 

  1. By default, Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information are synchronized. Tap Save. 

  1. If you're prompted to create a passcode, tap Continue and type a numeric passcode. If you're prompted and don't set up a passcode, you can't view this account on your device. You can also set up a passcode later in your settings. 

Note: 

  • If you get a time-out message, your password or other information might be incorrect. Retype the information, and then try again. 

  • You might need to wait ten to fifteen minutes after you set up your account before you can send or receive email. 

Set up an Office 365 on an Android​ 

  1. Tap Settings > Accounts > Add account > Email. This application might be named Mail on some versions of Android. 

  1. Type your full email address, for example [email protected], type your password, and then tap Next. 

  1. Select Exchange. 

  1. If prompted, accept the defaults on the Exchange server settings page, and tap Next. If your device can't connect, enter the following account information, and then select Next. 

  • * Domain\Username Type your full email address in this box, for example, [email protected]. If Domain and Username are separate text boxes in your version of Android, leave the Domain box empty, and type your full email address in the Username box. 

  • * Password Use the password that you use to access your account. 

  • * Exchange Server Use the address of your Exchange server. If you aren't sure what your server address is, check with your administrator. The server for Office 365 for business is outlook.office365.com. 

  • * Depending how your Exchange administrator set up your account, you might receive a message about additional security features. Select OK to continue. 

  1. As soon as the device verifies the server settings, the Account Options page opens. 

  • Select the options for how you want to receive your mail, and then tap Next. (You may need to scroll down to see Next.) 

  1. If you see Activate device administrator? page, select Activate. 

  1. Give the account a name, and then tap Done. 

Installing Office 365 Products 

The stand-alone download of Office products is available at https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx. You can have up to five installs on your Windows computer or Mac. 

After installing the Office software, you will be able to save and load files directly from your Saybrook OneDrive account. 

For mobile devices, there is no licensing for the Office applications. You can still synchronize them to your Saybrook account to load and save files directly to your account.
