Congratulations on your acceptance to Saybrook University! We are proud to welcome you to the community. Our faculty and staff are looking forward to meeting and working with you. We care about your success and are here to assist you throughout your program.

Below you will find a comprehensive checklist and resources of things to complete before classes begin.

Log in Credentials 

​​Look out for an email instructing you on how to activate your Saybrook student email account and send a confirmation email to your admissions counselor once it is created.


New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation can help you start your graduate school experience off on the right path. If you want to feel more confident on the first ​​day of the semester, then you must attend. You will get to feel a sense of community and learn how to find the resources you need. New Student Orientation will allow you the opportunity to meet other incoming students. This will be time well spent and can help you feel more at ease when your first day starts each semester. 

  • Accept the course invitation for the Canvas "Getting Started" orientation course.

  • The Summer orientation will be hosted on Wednesday, April 24, 2:30-5:00 pm PST. Click H​​ERE​ to register for January 5th.  

  • RSVP for Canvas Orientation Training.​

​​​WELCOME WEEK ACTIVITIES  

​Student support resources departments have partnered together to schedule a series of online sessions for new and continuing students to help students be successful here at Saybrook University. Information will be emailed to students and posted here as it becomes available.

Fin​​​ances

Complete the financial aid process and/or make payment arrangements with Student Accounts.

Academic Advising

  • Review your class schedule provided by your Academic Advisor.

  • Visit Saybrook's Graduate Studies Advising Center to connect and book an appointment with your Academic Advisor. 

Student ID 

Email a .JPG or .PNG image of yourself to the Office of the Registrar ([email protected]) for use on your Saybrook Student ID.


University learning experience

Please connect with your Department Chair or Faculty Mentor to determine if the University Learning Experience is a degree requirement. Additionally, ask your department for information regarding travel plans. 

Note: All degree programs do not require attendance. ​
